It feels like there is something in my eyes...

Drs Nataneli and Chai present a case of a 61-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis who had a sensation of "dry eyes."

Examination revealed that there was bilateral corneal perforations. The image depicts the iris prolapsing through a perforation in the cornea.

A take home message from this case might be that clinicians should remain cognizant of the risks of eye disease in patients who have rheumatoid arthiritis.
